(Trump.news) Who’s the bigger cash hypocrite, Trump or Clinton? There are few who do investigative journalism better than Sharyl Attkisson, and now she has the ideal platform for it. In a recent episode of Full Measure, she examined the candidates’ funding – who is getting what, how much, and from whom. This is kind of a big deal because presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, who has thus far primarily funded his campaign himself to avoid the appearance of being “bought off” by special interests, now seems ready to take campaign contributions. For her part, Democratic nominee-in-waiting Hillary Clinton will try to make an issue of it, but as Attkisson has discovered, whatever she says about Trump’s thus-far paltry donations will ring as hollow as anything else she says.
In the Full Measure episode titled, “Campaign Cash,” Attkisson interviews Will Tucker, the Money and Politics Reporter for Opensecrets.org, which tracks campaign spending. What he has found thus far regarding campaign contributions – and where they are coming from – will shock some. Watch it here.
Yeah, about those ‘bathroom bills…’ You have to hand it to Barack Obama, he was a good student of Saul Alinski’s radicalism.
So, as most people know, our lame-duck president hasn’t had much use for Congress the past couple of years, going around the Legislative Branch early and often, and he did so again recently when he threatened to withhold federal funding from any public school that didn’t open every bathroom and locker room to any student who “identifies” as the opposite sex. That doesn’t sit well with most Americans (who are much more rational than the governing elite give them credit for), and it shows: As reported by Breitbart News, two-thirds of Americans agree with Trump’s view on the matter: Let states handle that business, and not be ruled from on high by a man bent on creating as much ‘revolutionary’ chaos as he can before he thankfully leaves office in January:
Sixty-five percent of Americans agree with Trump that K-12 bathroom privacy rules should be first handled by state and local governments, according to the mid-May poll by Rasmussen Reports. Only 24 percent backed Obama’s policy of having the federal government “be responsible for setting bathroom policies in elementary and secondary schools.”
Meanwhile, Hillary…well, let’s just say she doesn’t agree with Trump.
There’s much more, and you can read it here.
Speaking of Hillary… The chief strategist for the Republican National Committee says that the gloves are coming off and staying off when it comes to Trump’s campaign against Clinton. Again, per Breitbart:
Republican National Committee Chief Strategist Sean Spicer joined guest host Matthew Boyle on Breitbart News Sunday on SiriusXM and told him Donald Trump along with the Republican Party will fully vet Hillary Clinton ahead of the general election in November.
“We’ve been at it for four years going through her record,” Spicer told Boyle. “This idea that people know who she is and that they’ve seen everything is just ridiculous.”
“We scratched the surface,” he added. “There’s so much there.” Read the rest here.
The hidden poll: Did you know that Donald Trump has gained dramatically against Hillary Clinton in the polls? You might not if you were a Washington Post reader or, at least, you might not realize the significance of The Donald’s gains because, as Paul Bedard of The Washington Examiner notes, the paper essentially buried its own polling results in a story that was all about the poll:
It’s not the headline, and it takes 219 words to get there, but a new Washington Post poll on the presidential race reveals that Republican Donald Trump leads Democrat Hillary Clinton among registered voters 46 percent to 44 percent. In reality it is quite a turnaround. Read the details here.
More from the Washington Examiner: Who is gaining support to be Trump’s running mate? This guy, and if it comes to fruition, it ought to make conservatives a bit more comfortable supporting Trump.
