‘#GaysForTrump’ quickly censored moments after trending on Twitter

(Trump.news) The politically biased Left-wing extremists over Twitter really seem to have a problem with gays and lesbians who are not only conservative but in the corner of likely GOP nominee Donald J. Trump.

On Wednesday a number of Twitter users reported that the popular #GaysForTrump hashtag is being censored by the social media site.

There is a GIF that was posted by a Twitter user who goes by the handle @PunishedSage that reveals the Twitter hashtag does not appear in suggested searchers on the site. If you type in “#GaysFor” or even “#GaysForTr” into the search function on the site, the hashtag simply does not appear as a recommendation even though it is extremely trendy and popular following the Orlando terrorist attack, which targeted a gay nightclub.

“However, less popular hashtags like #LGBTQHatesTrumpParty remain uncensored on Twitter,” Breitbart News reported. “According to statistics by Keyhole.co, which provides social media analytics, #GaysForTrump has been posted more than seven times as often as #LGBTQHatesTrumpParty, and has had more than twice as many user impressions.”

This appears to be just a blatant act of censorship, which the political Left is famous for – when you agree with their positions then they celebrate constitutional “free speech” but when you don’t, they see no problem at all either banning your speech or censoring it altogether.

The censorship also comes on the heels of Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos’ short suspension from Twitter, which took place after he took to the social media platform with anti-Islamic remarks. Muslims, it seems, are the new preferred minority, ahead of gays, for the Left.

In March, Yiannopoulos pressed White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest about censorship on social media. Though Earnest noted that private companies have every right to enact whichever speech policies that they want, he also claimed President Obama “would be the first one to observe that the success of … social media and some of those social media tools is in fact predicated on the idea of freedom of expression.”

Except when you espouse a [conservative/Republican] view that the site owner doesn’t care for.
