Business has never been better for the vaccine industry, which is raking in billions of dollars from the federal government to produce new vaccines for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). And footing the bill, as usual, is the American taxpayer.
President Donald Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed” (OWS) initiative, which promises to unveil fast-tracked Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19 vaccines at warp speed, is doling out taxpayer cash at an unprecedented rate and volume, enriching Big Pharma while further impoverishing the American people.
Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) have both scored a $2.1 billion federal contract to produce 100 million doses of their vaccines, with the option to add another 500 million doses later on down the road. Sanofi’s profits, by the way, currently total about $38 billion.
Pfizer and BioNTech have likewise been awarded a $1.95 billion federal contract to produce another 100 million doses of their vaccine, which has yet to be developed. Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical corporation, has a profit total of about $53 billion.
Other pharmaceutical corporations that are being handed taxpayer cash by the Trump administration include:
All in all, this amounts to nearly $9 billion in American taxpayer cash that has been divvied up to the wealthiest and most influential corporate behemoths in the entire world and all at Trump’s directive.
Many who are actually paying attention are mortified that Big Pharma is raking in gobs of taxpayer cash, even as the taxpayers funding this cash party are struggling simply to survive.
But Big Pharma says that people who have a problem with such corporate fascism are “radicals,” at least this was the word that Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, a multi-millionaire, used during a recent interview with Barron’s.
“I think it’s very wrong,” Bourla stated about people being upset about the crony capitalism that is taking place before their very eyes.
“You need to be very fanatic and radical to say something like that right now,” he added. “Who is finding the solution? The private sector found the solution for diagnostics, and the private sector found the solution for therapeutics and is along [the] way to find more solutions for therapeutics and vaccines. So how can you say something like that? Doesn’t make sense.”
If all goes as planned, Pfizer alone could profit to the tune of about $13 billion from the plandemic, assuming its Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine ends up selling at about $19.50 per dose, which is considered “affordable.”
Many libertarians are also lauding Big Pharma for supposedly coming up with the “solutions” to this plandemic, though few, if any, of them are making any mention whatsoever of Trump’s OWS program or it’s being funded by American taxpayers.
“Vaccine progress is coming at record speed – and it’s the result of the free market,” boasted corrupt crony capitalist and deep state whore Nikki Haley in a recent social media post.
“About 2 dozen companies are competing to find a cure or treatments to the pandemic. While govt supports, they’re rightly letting innovators and entrepreneurs drive the vaccine process.”
As of this writing, there are about 165 Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines currently in development. Many experts believe that the first ones to become commercially available will hit the market by the year 2021, though some say that the earliest vaccines for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) could be released before year’s end.
