We are standing at a pivot point that will echo through the generations. The decisions made in the next 90 days will determine whether humanity has a future or suffers a collapse that ripples across the planet for decades to come. President Trump holds the keys to two diverging paths: one leads to catastrophic war across the Middle East, a shattered global economy, and potential nuclear escalation; the other leads to a (relatively) peaceful reset that restores energy flows, stabilizes markets, and gives us all a chance to rebuild.
What changed everything? I think it’s the quiet realization that Iran already possesses nuclear weapons. I have been watching this story unfold for months, and the intelligence now pouring in from multiple sources makes one thing crystal clear: the old rules no longer apply. Trump is no longer negotiating from a position of strength — he is negotiating from a position of survival. I’ll explain more in this article.
Over just the last two weeks, a series of intelligence reports began circulating among geopolitics analysts (Pepe Escobar and Larry Johnson in particular) that Iran may have secretly acquired multiple nuclear warheads from Pakistan. Other reports confirm that Iran still holds its highly-enriched uranium, but the real game-changer is the warheads themselves. [1] As I have reported on my Health Ranger Report, the former deputy director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency stated that it would take a nuclear bomb to achieve the desired effect on Iran’s nuclear program, implying Tehran already has a nuclear capability that cannot be eliminated by conventional means. [2]
President Trump’s sudden shift in tone — publicly criticizing Netanyahu in a phone call that Axios reported as Trump saying “you’re f***ing crazy” and “I’m saving your ass” [3], and partially pulling refueling support for Israeli operations — makes sense only if he now believes this intelligence. Iran can honestly sign an agreement to never produce nuclear weapons while already possessing them, given that the warheads were likely produced by Pakistan, not Iran. In addition, Iran clearly has the capability to deliver nuclear warheads to any target it chooses within thousands of kilometer, if it chooses to do so.
The leaked terms of the U.S.-Iran MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) are staggering. According to the 10-point proposal transmitted through Pakistan, [4] the United States agrees to lift sanctions, withdraw all military forces from the Persian Gulf, and release frozen assets that belong to Iran. To the uninitiated, this looks like a total victory for Iran — and it is. But I believe this is still the right move for America because ongoing war costs us all dearly.
Here is why: reopening the Strait of Hormuz drops oil prices back below $70 a barrel, restores global fertilizer supply chains, and prevents the famine that the “True Famine Is Yet to Come” report [5] warns could kill tens of millions if the conflict continues. Signing this deal gives Trump a chance to redeem himself from the disastrous Operation Epic Fury, potentially secure the 2026 midterms for Republicans by easing economic pain, and avoid the nuclear escalation that would end his presidency in an economically devastating mushroom cloud. The alternative is a grinding defeat that leaves Iran with every advantage anyway — just with more dead Americans and wrecked global markets in the process.
The greatest damage from an Iranian nuclear weapon is not radioactive fallout; it is economic collapse. A single nuclear detonation anywhere in the Middle East would almost certainly crash the U.S. stock market, destroy trillions in wealth, send gold and silver into a speculative frenzy, and end the Trump presidency in a matter of days. As I explained in my podcast Surviving Nuclear War, [6] the aftermath of even a limited nuclear exchange could trigger global chaos, food shortages, and the collapse of the international financial system.
Moreover, Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz has already exposed the U.S. Navy as a paper tiger. [7] The entire global economy depends on the free flow of energy through that chokepoint, and Iran is clearly in control, while the U.S. Navy has demonstrated it cannot wrest control away from Iran no matter what methods are attempted.
The evidence of Iran possessing nuclear weapons probably means that Trump now fears Iran more than he fears Netanyahu because a nuclear Iran threatens his own survival far more than any blackmail from Epstein files or deepfake scandals. The nuclear threat outweighs all other considerations.
Israel’s lobby is enraged by Trump’s apparent pivot. The historic record shows that Israel has long pursued an expansionist policy, endorsed by Trump’s own recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and the annexation of the Golan Heights. [8] [9] Now, with Trump seemingly backing off, the Israeli right is pushing a treasonous law to bypass the president’s intelligence-sharing approval. But Trump has a wild card: deepfakes and AI-generated content have eroded the power of traditional blackmail. He can dismiss any Epstein files as fabricated, greatly reducing the leverage that such files might have previously held over him.
Trump gains nothing by backing Netanyahu and everything by choosing peace with Iran. As I argued in my interview with Jeffrey Prather, [2] Israel intends to escalate the conflict further, but Trump has the power to stop it. The battle for Trump’s soul is right now closely tied to the battle for the future of humanity.
Trump can either embrace endless war — which will destroy the economy, collapse the dollar, and kill millions — or sign the historic peace that Iran’s nuclear leverage has forced onto the table. Iran declared an end to military operations in early June, [10] signaling their willingness to de-escalate. Now it is Trump’s turn to show that the American empire hasn’t forgotten what peace looks like.
The world needs the flow of energy, fertilizer, and trade to avoid suffering and collapse. This deal could potentially deliver that if the U.S. side is serious about avoiding a worst case economic collapse. I call on President Trump to make the right choice: for America and for the future of humanity. There is no third option. Only peace or catastrophe.
Let us hope Trump can make the kind of choice that puts him on the path of redemption.
